Pasta night with the girlssss.....

It's been a full day for us and we are gonna have a big event tomorrow!

It's 8 pm when Asmaa' realised that she doesn't have a suitable shoes for tomorrow's event! We packed our stuff at the speed of lightning bolt and run to my car that was parked like 1 kilometer away (I am exaggerating kay)from the office and off to Mid Valley Megamall.

After about 1 hour of brisk walking and achieving our goal, we decided to pamper our tummy! Asmaa' made us to agree with her to have pasta that night so...... Off we go to the nearest and yummiest pasta place!

DELICIOUS!

Ok now I am hungry already!

Mondays.......

I LOOOOVEEEE MONDAY!!!

Ughhhhh.....

That is sooo not me!

In fact, no one loves Monday! the most hated day of the week.

Just like any other Monday, last Monday was a totally unproductive day and to make it even worse, it was the MONDAY AFTER THE LONG CHINESE NEW YEAR HOLIDAYS!!!!

The clock seems to be moving in a slow-motion. The morning seems like never ending. I don't even think I could make it until 5.30 pm. You know what I mean right!

Until.......

Ali rang me and said:

Ali: I'm coming over! let's go and have lunch somewhere!

Me: Yeay! Food! Drive faster I'll wait at the lobby!

And I get to pick the place for lunch.

Chee Meng Chicken Rice!

I think the original shop is in Jalan Bukit Bintang
The shop is at Jalan Kelang Lama... I seriously don't know the full address but I know where it is. But just look at the crowd!!

So difficult to get seats during lunch hour... we get seats at the back of the shop in front of the vegetable refrigerator

I We had my our favorite lemon juice.... The best lemon juice everrrrr!!!!

And we had our usual Chicken Rice with roasted chicken.

Without wasting any minute... I must eat nowwwww!!!!

And we manage to clear everything in less than 10 minutes... That's how hungry we are.

See... the refrigerator behind Ali!

The shop is just by the the roadside.. If you are driving towards KL, it should be on your left and if you are lucky enough, you can even park in front of the shop or restaurant or whatever you would like to call it but I prefer shop than restaurant.... Ok enough with the shop and restaurant!

Oh by the way, the total cost for our lunch at Chee Meng is RM 19!

Gigantic!

I was watching TV when I heard someone shouting at the front gate. I ignored it and continued watching TV.

And then the door bell rings!

It was like 10 pm and everyone is either home or has a house key. I was seriously scared okeyyy... First it was the shouting and then the door bell and It's 10 pm not am. So I have all the rights to be scared.

Ran to brother's room, shaking his door screaming (err not really) to get him out and see what's happening outside.

We open the door and saw

Can never get enough of....

I seriously don't know what is wrong with us lately...

We can never get enough of barbecue-ing!

We ALWAYS find ourselves looking for a reason to Barbecue.... New Year Celebration, Engagement Party, Cousin's Birthday, Thaipusam... Be it weekend or public holidays we are more than happy to gather and BARBECUE.

I guess it's because barbecue is the easiest way to gather everyone together. There will be no cooking hassle to the host. All you need to do is to marinade. It's so easy even I can do it (I can't cook!)

First and foremost you'll need chicken wing or lamb slices or anything that you wish to marinade.

Then, you'll need some

Lemongrass

Onions

Garlic

Ginger

Honey

And sweet soy sauce

Clean and chop (chunky) lemongrass, onions, garlic and ginger and mix them together in a blender.

Add on honey and sweet soy sauce and blend everything together.

The mixture should look like this.

Pour the mixture onto your chicken wing or lamb shoulder (raw) or anything to wish to marinade (phewww...!!)

And mix everything together.

leave it for at least 5 hours and you are ready for your barbecue party!

Oh I forgot to mention... You'll need one dedicated barbecue-er to stay and continue barbecue-ing while everyone else has started eating, playing, watching TV, chit chatting, etc etc etc....

And don't forget to shower after your barbecue party... Other than that, HAVE FUN!
